Splat & Splash – A Free Community Beach Gathering
Friday 19th September, 2pm – around 5pm
Weston Beach Café (right by the pier), Weston-super-Mare
Join us for a joyful afternoon of creativity, connection, and community by the sea.
The Splat & Splash, hosted by artist Graham Cullis in collaboration with Mudita Salus CIC, is a free gathering open to all. Together we’ll paint, listen to music, share meditation, and enjoy the simple pleasure of being by the beach.
This event is about celebrating togetherness, reducing loneliness, and shining a light on the importance of wellbeing and mental health in our community.
What to Expect:
A free and welcoming space for all ages
Creative painting and playful activities
Meditation and mindful moments
Music and silent disco headsets (limited availability – first come, first served)
Optional chilly dip with the Winter Warrior Challenge team (weather permitting)
Plenty of smiles, hugs, and beachside joy 🌊💚
Things to Bring:
A waterproof hooded jacket (to keep headsets safe if it rains)
Swimwear and warm clothes if you’d like to dip
A bottle of ketchup, mustard, or brown sauce (yes, really – all will be revealed!)
Most importantly: an open heart and good vibes
Practical Info:
Kid-friendly (and adults can feel like kids again too!)
Runs whatever the weather – we have use of Weston Beach Café if it rains
Free to attend. Donations to Graham’s art tour are welcome but not expected.
